Hesperides Garden

Get !t Done

Hesperides Garden was a 501c3 that serves the Pagan family of faiths. This information resource proudly provided platforms to a diverse group of contributors. Producing a rich accessible resource for all who seek it. The leadership worked hard to create a supportive online community where like-minded people can meet and discuss ideas and interests. I worked with this non-profit until it closed its doors in 2020.

Books would have been published through Hesperides Garden.

Many of them have found new life with individual members!

Skills learned from this project

I have learned many skills from this project that are too many to list. Having worked on this project from conception to the end has presented many opportunities to learn and grow professionally and personally. I enjoy this work very much. This project is also old enough where we have had some great years and some hard years but the commitment to continuing to serve the community of which we are all a part remains. Here is a partial list of the skills I have gained over the life of this project.

  • Project Management
  • Community Development
  • Public Spaking
  • Video Editing
  • Event Planning
  • Copy Creation, Editing, and Layout
  • Publication (Traditional Printer)
  • Publication (KDP/ Amazon)
  • Social Media – Grassroots
  • Web Development
  • Networking
  • Strategic Alliances
  • Conflict Mediation
  • Strategy

This project ended badly resulting in legal action. This was sad and could have been avoided. Preparing for the worst days while enjoying the best days has new meaning to me. There is always a time to consult an expert and it was long before I did in this case. Much could have been done differently. All members are moving on and continue to serve the larger Pagan community. I have learned more from this project than I bet I even realize, from the beginning to the end a lesson is always there for those that look.
